I love to use messenger bags to carry my lunch and newspapers to work. The strap on this bag broke the first 2 weeks. I don't bring heavy items to work ( just a few bottles of water), so there is no excuse for it to break. I would not recommend

The Negotiator soft briefcase is made from 600 D. waterproof polyester. The bag's expandable feature offers more packing capacity, up to an additional 2". It has a roomy main compartment and a full organizer on the inside flap. There is also a detachable non-slip padded shoulder strap and self-repairing excel zippers. Made in China. Dimensions: 12" x 16" x 4" + 2".
