I can't speak to the gold plating because I just only got it, but I can speak to the sizing...too small, even though I'm a Sz 5. It's GORGEOUS though. I honestly don't want to send it back. Please come back with half sizes!

white.I'm excited about all rings I get, but THIS ONE was like NO OTHER. I couldn't wait to C the reaction I would get,just for fun, not that it mattered I LOVED it. Wore it the FIRST time and my finger turned GREEN size of the whole band! Then,I read more reviews, checked the stones. 1 wearing,1 stone gone,GOLD TOTALLY wore OFF! 1 size off too(SMALL)..does Look just like the pic. BEE-U-T-FUL! So,30 dys. is up, what to do! Take it to the jeweler, C if he can do ANYTHING after he stops laughing

This is a beautiful ring. It is my symbol of my new life taking flight, so I will keep it even though the gold plating was gone in a matter of minutes.

The problem is the METAL; the gold on the band literally dissolved. I had just received it, when I noticed that the gold color seemed inconsistent; lighter in some areas, darker in others. I very moderately rubbed my finger on the darker portions and the gold color came RIGHT OFF. For $50, this ring is poorly crafted. I wish it was offered in sterling silver so that at least the metal would be durable. It's a shame, because it's such a nice design. What's going on with craftsmanship nowadays??

like the previous reviewer, the gold wore off the band the first day i wore my turq. butterfly ring--darkened my finger. i even made sure to take ring off every time i washed my hands. still looks gold-y & pretty on the butterfly part, but suspect this will start to turn too, underneath the wings. i still like the look & design of this ring, & get lots of compliments; i have the turq. & the coral, both will be fun fashion rings for summer.
