I loved everything about this bag except the color. The leather was wonderful, along with the three compartments, but it seemed to have too much of an orange color to it. Also, the orange lining clashed with the exterior color. If the black or purple would have been available, it would have been a keeper.

I Love the color and the leather. The entire purse is too heavy empty. Looks effecient but to carry everyday not good. Seems the pockets provided just did not fit my stuff. The strap across the frot keeps coming open and sticking out. It serves no purpose.....maybe to hang on things. Why was the strap attached to open for no reason?? I would not purchase it again!!!!! Too bad I did not return it.....Price was too high!

I usually love Michael Rome's products. Color, design, leather was very nice but woven area of strap was defective and could have cut my wrist. Returned Immediately.

I own a handful of Michael Rome bags and am very pleased with the leather quality. Excellent prices for such quality leather. Don't be fooled - other designers claim their bags are leather but when you read the fine print you discover that the majority of their bag is plastic - and their prices are higher! I purchased the purple bag in this style originally. The purple was much darker than expected - almost a dark brown or black in some lighting, so that was a little disappointing. However, the leather quality and style were superb. Nice that it has various easily accessible compartments and it is very roomy for its size, which is neither so humongous as to be overwhelming on smaller women, nor so small that you look like a child. Looks professional and chic. Other colors got sold out on me - rats!. But cognac reappeared so I snapped it up right away and it's on its way. I give the purple four stars only because the color did not look purple. Otherwise, it would merit a five.
