I received the red, white and blue version of this Salute to America Denim Satchel. It is a glorious expression of my love for my country, as well as being the superb quality that we all expect with a Sharif bag. It was with great sadness that I had to return it. My health is not good and had the bag been lighter in weight, I never would have thought of sending it back. I truly loved it and hope that a similar patriotic bag will be designed that will be easier for me to carry. Believe me, most women wouldn't have a problem with this bag, weight-wise. I do wish that I had kept it. It is lovely!!!

If you like a bag different from everyone else this is it. I got the red, white and blue and everytime I use it, it makes me proud to be an American....kinda like carrying your flag with you.I find myself going up to one of our men or women serving our country and thanking them for the job they are doing, While I am always proud of my service people and my country, it just a beautiful reminder when I use the bag.

The only reason I didn't give the red, white and blue bag 5 stars is the straps could use an extra, long oval link at each end. The bag fits just fine under my arm, and the proportions are really good, so it has a lot of room without being too big. Details are patent leather, not plastic. The clear star is kind of cute, and looks like it could be removed by clipping a few stiches, if necessary.

I think 3 stars is generous for this bag. I got the animal print. I hated the plastic around it, especially the plastic pocket and huge fake cz star. The star really cheapened the bag. I felt the quality could have been better. Looks way better on tv!
